AC Milan are not prepared to offer more than €8 million in total to buy out the contracts of Adil Rami and Adel Taarabt, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rossoneri have an option to make the two loan deals permanent for a combined fee of €15 million, but they are hoping to seriously lower the asking price.
Having failed to secure European qualification, the club will be operating on a tight budget and they cannot afford to spend heavily next summer.
At the same time, with the two players largely impressing at the start of their careers at San Siro, Milan hope they can turn their loan deals into permanent moves.
Their €4 million offer for Adil Rami is likely to prove sufficient as Valencia are eager to offload the player due to unprofessional behaviour, but signing Adel Taarabt from QPR could prove to be a much more difficult task.
AC Milan host bottom-placed Catania on Sunday evening, with the Rossoneri 1/3 favourites to emerge victorious.
