AC Milan are planning an ambitious swoop for Barcelona attacker David Villa, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
With Max Allegri set to be confirmed as the boss for the new season, the Rossoneri are thinking about summer reinforcements.
Reinforcing the midfield department is a priority at the moment, with Milan likely to go for one of Gokhan Inler or Radja Nainggolan.
Meanwhile, they also want to sign a right winger so that Kevin-Prince Boateng can resume his midfield duties in the new season.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan are keen on Barcelona star David Villa, who could be available for sale at the end of the campaign.
The Rossoneri could face a stiff competition for the Spain international, but they believe the player would be tempted by the opportunity to join a truly great European club.
Milan are still locked in the battle with Fiorentina for the final Champions League berth, although a victory over relegated Siena on the final day of the season would see them achieve a top 3 finish.
