AC Milan are pondering summer move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are looking for a new number one as Christian Abbiati’s contract is due to expire in the summer and the Spaniard is just one of the players they are looking at.
Milan officials have been impressed with the player’s performances at Santiago Bernabeu and will attempt to lure him to San Siro.
That may not prove to be such a difficult task after all as Lopez will probably be allowed to leave when Jose Mourinho calls it quits on los Blancos.
The only reason why Iker Casillas has been out of the starting line-up is his poor relationship with the Portuguese manager, but Casillas is set to reinstated as the number one for the upcoming season.
Milan plan to take advantage of the circumstances and sign a keeper who has been in scintillating form ever since he arrived at the club from Sevilla.
