French newspaper Le 10 Sport understands that AC Milan are stepping up their efforts to sign Fiorentina midfielder Romulo.
The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a right-sided midfielder and they seem to have made the Brazilian their number one target.
Milan officials have already opened talks with the player’s employers, who are requesting €5 million for his signature.
After struggling for playing time at Artemio Franchi, the 26-year-old was allowed to join Hellas Verona on loan in the summer, which proved to be a great move for all the parties concerned.
Romulo has since been in scintillating form, having managed 4 goals and 6 assists in 18 Serie A fixtures.
AC Milan are desperately trying to save this season, with the Rossoneri currently sitting in 11th place in the overall standings. Max Allegri’s charges are, however, just 3/4 to defeat Sassuolo on the road in their next league fixture.
