According to L’Equipe, AC Milan are hoping to sign 23 year old, German left winger, Bastian Schweinsteiger. Club chairman Adriano Galliani claims Milan is ready to meet the German international’s minimum fee release clause.
The player has had quite a promising start in football and at the age of 22, had already played 41 matches for the German national team, a record for any German player at the time. This record was soon to be broken, however, by Schweinsteiger’s close friend Lukas Podolski who was capped 44 times at the age of 22.
Milan is looking to strengthen its squad in the midfield, and a reported priority is an alternative to Kaka and Clarence Seedorf in the attacking midfield position.
