Milan interest in Brazilian keeper confirmed

Milan have shown interest in Benfica keeper Artur Moraes, according to Brazilian scout Andre Cruz.

The 30-year-old has been in scintillating form since arriving from Braga in the summer and is already attracting interest from big European clubs.

Former Sporting Lisbon player Andre Cruz, who is now working as a scout, reveals that he has recommended the player to Milan.

“I recommended Artur to Milan recently,” Andre Cruz was quoted as saying in A bola.

“I have been following him a couple of years now, was informed of the remarkable performances he is putting in at Benfica and, not sure of the situation and the position of Abbiati at the club, called Ariedo Braida (Milan sporting director).

”He told me that he was aware of Artur’s performances and Sir Alex Ferguson’s praise after the Champions League games. And that he would follow him even more closely after our conversation.”
