According to Corriere della Sera, AC Milan have offered to take Dani Olmo from Barcelona on loan for the rest of the season, after Spanish football authorities denied the Catalan club’s request for his registration.
It’s becoming increasingly certain that Olmo will not be able to play for Barcelona in the second half of 2024/25. The Spain international is keen to remain a Barcelona player, though, and even though the circumstances allow him to terminate his contract, he will not trigger that option. On the other hand, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder is obviously keen to play, as regularly as possible, with his place in the Spain squad on the line. Therefore, a temporary move to another club seems like a logical solution at this point.
Meanwhile, Barcelona haven’t given up on having Olmo, as well as Pau Victor, registered before the end of the January window, but they continue to work with both players on preparing for any eventuality.
