AC Milan are showing interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
It is no secret the Rossoneri aim to recruit a central midfielder before the summer transfer window closes and they were believed to be closing in on Roberto Soriano.
But, having been priced out of the deal for Italian midfielder, AC Milan officials have turned their attention towards Bayern’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The 20-year-old returned to Allianz Arena following a successful stint with Augsburg, but it looks as though he will again be moving clubs.
Hojbjerg wants to play regular first team football this season and another loan deal appears on the cards.
AC Milan will attempt to sign the Denmark starlet on a season-long loan, and they might even include the option to make the transfer permanent.
Hojbjerg has already become an important member of the senior national team, starting four Euro 2016 qualifiers and scoring one goal.
