Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claims AC Milan are readying January bid for Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente.
The Rossoneri have been largely struggling up front following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and have failed to get on the scoresheet in three of the four games this season.
The goalless draw against Anderlecht proved to be the final straw and it persuaded the club officials that they need to sign a recognized striker in the January transfer window.
O Jogo reveals that the Rossoneri are keen on Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente and that they have already established the first contact with the player’s representatives.
Llorente is widely expected to leave the club in the next transfer window after informing los Leones that he wouldn’t be signing a contract extension.
This basically means he will be available at a cut-back price, although Milan are likely to face a stiff competition for the Spaniard’s signature, with Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool and few other high-profile clubs also keen.
