AC Milan are keeping close tabs on Mattia Destro and Axel Witsel, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Rossoneri have signed Alessio Cerci on loan from Atletico Madrid while sending Fernando Torres in the opposite direction, but they are still in the market for a centre forward.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are not giving up on Mattia Destro and are even prepared to offer Stephan El Shaarawy in exchange for the Roma starlet.
The 22-year-old is no longer in the first team plans of Pippo Inzaghi and he is widely tipped to leave San Siro this winter.
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri will also attempt to recruit Axel Witsel from Zenit and thus reinforce their midfield department.
With doubts surrounding the future of Nigel de Jong and both Michael Essien and Marco van Ginkel set to leave at the end of the season, AC Milan aim to add at least one quality midfielder to their ranks in the January window.
