AC Milan are keen on signing Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal and are currently in negotiations with the English club, according to Fichajes, whose report also suggests that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may be willing to let Kiwior leave on loan if Milan includes a mandatory purchase clause in the deal.
Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia for approximately £21 million during the January transfer window last season. However, he has struggled to secure regular playing time, with Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba often preferred at centre-back when available.
This season, though, Kiwior has seen more opportunities, particularly at left-back, due to some underwhelming performances from Oleksandr Zinchenko and injury issues of Tahekiro Tomiyasu.
In all competitions, the versatile 24-year-old defender has represented the Gunners on 24 occasions, scoring once and producing three assists. With four years remaining on his contract, Arsenal aren’t likely to agree to a low price, and Milan will have to consider this proposed swoop seriously before making any decision.
