Milan have shown interest in Hannover midfielder Manuel Schmiedebach, according to Bild.
The 22-year-old midfielder was one of team’s best players last season as Hannover narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification.
The good performances for Die Roten have seen the youngster attract interest from Borussia Dortmund and several foreign clubs, including AC Milan.
The Rossoneri scouts watched Schmiedebach during the friendly game against Hapoel Tel Aviv and Milan could now send a formal bid as they look to add some fresh blood to their midfield area.
Schmiedebach has one more year left on his contract, meaning that Hannover could be forced to sell.
The player himself has revealed that he will not make a decision regarding his future this summer, meaning that he could be available at a cut-back price in January.
“I want to see how we start. How it works for me as well as for the club,” the player told Kicker.
