Milan linked with Cissokho move

AC Milan are ready to sign Aly Cissokho once his loan spell at Liverpool is complete, the Mirror understands.

The left-back moved to Anfield on a temporary basis from Valencia in the summer, but has made just twelve league starts, largely due to the emergence of Jon Flanagan.

Flanagan’s form has convinced manager Brendan Rodgers that he need not extent Cissokho’s stay, and Milan are ready to pounce when the transfer window reopens.

The former Lyon man, who has been capped just once by France, is also likely to be deemed surplus to requirements at the Mestalla, where Juan Bernat has made the left-back spot his own this season.

Cissokho will be hoping to be involved for the Reds at the weekend, when they take on title favourites Manchester City in a game that many believe will decide the league.

Liverpool can be backed at 15/8 to win their firs championship since 1990.
