AC Milan are pondering a summer move for Sampdoria striker Simone Zaza, La Stampa has revealed.
In an attempt to comply with FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules, the Rossoneri have completely turned their attention to signing young and talented footballers.
They now aim to continue the squad rejuvenation process, with La Stampa reporting they are stepping up their interest in Sampdoria striker Simone Zaza.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Ascoli, where he is enjoying his most successful season up to date, scoring goals for fun in Italy’s second division.
Zaza has scored a total of 16 goals in 25 Serie B appearances this term, netting nine times in last ten league matches.
Sampdoria officials will not be too keen on selling one of their hottest prospects, especially if Mauro Icardi leaves in the summer, but Milan are prepared to go to great lengths to lure the youngster to San Siro.
