AC Milan have poured cold water on speculations linking Alexandre Pato with a summer exit from San Siro.
The injury prone forward was heavily linked with a summer exit from the club following yet another disappointing season.
Paris Saint-Germain were tipped to make a move on the Brazilian star after expressing their interest in the player on numerous occasions.
However, Milan chief Adriano Galliani has explained that the Rossoneri are not interested in selling or loaning the 22-year-old.
“Milan will not negotiate for Pato on a loan deal or a permanent transfer,” Adriano Galliani told Lancenet.
“The player is staying with us 100 per cent. He will remain next season and recover here with Milan. That is certain.”
The Milan vice-president explained club’s stance on the matter after Pato had been linked with a loan move to Corinthians.
The highly rated forward had a very promising start to his career at San Siro, but numerous injuries over the last two seasons prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Pato has amassed just 11 Serie A appearances this term, while he made 5 appearances in club’s Champions League campaign.
