Milan are planning a January bid for Genoa left-back Domenico Criscito, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Massimiliano Allegri is desperate to add some quality to his back line after the weekend’s 4:4 draw with Udinese and he believes the Italy international would be a good solution for the problematic left-back position.
Criscito was also a target for Juventus but it seems the Old Lady has given up on the 24-year-old after Genoa president Enrico Preziosi said the player is 99 per cent staying in Genoa.
The Rossoblu have already sold key defender Andrea Ranocchia and they are reluctant to part from another important player.
Nonetheless, Milan chiefs hope their good relationship with Genoa will soften Preziosi’s stance on Criscito and they are already preparing a bid for the Italy international.
