According to the Daily Mail, Italian giants AC Milan are mulling over making a bid for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
The 29-year-old is considered as one of the best keepers’ in the world and would make his way into many national sides. However, such is the brilliance of Iker Cassias, he spends most of his time on the bench in international football.
Reina has been a fantastic servant for Liverpool but may feel as though he needs Champions League football as he is in his best years as a player.
The Spanish international is likely to decide his future after Euro 2012 as he has not met the new manager Brendan Rodgers and discussed his plans for their Premier League campaign.
Rodgers will be desperate to keep his first choice keeper at Anfield but will know that if Milan come knocking it may be tough to keep him at the club.
The Italian side had their Serie A title taken away from them by Juventus last season so will look to build a stronger side to regain the trophy this year. Reina would certainly be a top signing for them and he may be tempted by going to a genuine title contender which, Liverpool look some way off being.
