AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has warned his side faces a ‘difficult’ away game against BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Silva joined his team-mates on the flight to Minsk for their Group H clash after coming through a tough encounter against Roma in Serie A at the weekend.
The Rossoneri defeated Roma 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday to stay two points behind leaders Juventus after nine rounds of matches.
Reflecting on their performance against the Giallorossi, Silva admits that they committed mistakes but is now focused on their game against the Belarusian champions.
“We knew that it would be a difficult game,” the 27-year-old is quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“We struggled but finally we managed to come away with a positive result.”
“When you play away, it is always complicated. We made mistakes but that’s normal. Now we have to think of the Champions League in which we have another difficult game to play away.”
Milan are the current leaders of Group H with seven points from three matches, level on points with Barcelona, who have an inferior head-to-head record and are away at Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday.
