Turin-based media outlet Tuttosport has learned that AC Milan are hot on the trail of Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile.
The Rossoneri are unlikely to meet Roma’s asking price for Mattia Destro, while they will allow Giampaolo Pazzini to leave on a free transfer.
As a result, signing a quality centre forward is now a priority, with Ciro Immobile apparently club’s top target.
The Rossoneri believe that the former Torino star can kick-start his career at San Siro following a disappointing spell at Borussia Dortmund, while signing the Italy international at a time when club chiefs plan to have as many Italian players in the squad as possible definitely sounds like a good idea.
After finishing as Serie A top goalscorer last term, Immobile has failed to prove his worth at Signal-Iduna Park, scoring mere 3 goals in 23 league outings, although he did well to net four times in six Champions League fixtures.
