Le Parisien reports that AC Milan and Inter Milan are locked in the battle for Liverpool reject Mamadou Sakho.
It is now clear that the Frenchman will be leaving Anfield in the January transfer window after clashing with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Sakho is looking for a way out considering that he has been dropped from the senior squad, but he is unlikely to be returning to France despite interest from Marseille and Lille.
The 26-year-old rather wants to continue playing at the highest level, and he is likely to be tempted by the prospect of joining either AC Milan or Inter Milan.
It is now secret that both sides are looking for defensive reinforcements and they have been in contact with the player’s representatives.
Liverpool clearly haven’t missed Sakho too much this season having climbed to the Premier League summit and they can be backed at 5/2 to end a 26-year wait for a league trophy.
