Milan rivals vying for Liverpool duo
AC Milan and Inter Milan are locked in the battle for Liverpool fringe players Fabio Borini and Suso, reports Tuttosport.
Both clubs have recently done business with the Reds, but they are now set to challenge each other for the two Liverpool footballers.
Fabio Borini is widely tipped to return to Italian Serie A after rejecting offers from Sunderland and QPR in the summer transfer window.
He will not come on the cheap through and it is believed Liverpool will only consider an outright transfer for the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile, the two rivals have been showing interest in Spanish attacker Suso as well, who should be available on a cut-price deal.
The 20-year-old has impressed while on loan at Almeria and with his contract at Anfield due to expire at the end of the current campaign, chances are he will be sold in January.
Spurs offered a chance to sign Jonas
Tottenham Hotspur have been offered Brazilian forward Jonas Goncalves Oliveira, according to Daily Mail.
Spurs were unsuccessful in their attempts to recruit another centre forward in the summer transfer window, but they might just be able to make another attacking signing.
Namely, Daily Mail has suggested that Tottenham have a chance to sign free agent Jonas, who has been released by Valencia.
The Brazilian is currently in talks over a move to Benfica, but no doubt he would be keen on a switch to English Premier League, even if he would have a much better chance of nailing down a regular starting berth at Estadio da Luz.
Jonas, 30, has scored a total of 36 goals in 113 La Liga appearances for los Che, while bagging another 8 Champions League goals.
He was surprisingly released by Valencia this summer, but the forward is clearly held in high regard by Europe’s top sides.
Juve star duo set for new deals
Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that Gianluigi Buffon and Paul Pogba will be signing new contracts with Juventus.
Negotiations with both players are at advanced stage and it is believed that the deals will be made official by the end of the month.
The two players are considered key members of the squad in Turin and club chiefs are eager to sort out their futures as soon as possible.
Even at 36, Gianluigi Buffon remains one of world’s best goalkeepers and it appears he has another couple of good years ahead of him.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba has quickly developed into a world-class player and the Bianconeri are determined to ward off interest in his services.
The 21-year-old has already scored 12 league goals for Juventus while he was also on the scoresheet as France shared spoils with Serbia yesterday evening.
