(GSM) – Serie A giants Milan have dismissed reports linking striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to a move away from the San Siro during the January transfer window.

Despite strong interest from the Premier League clubs, it seems Milan are reluctant to let the struggling striker leave the club on temporary basis.

The Holland international recently admitted that he was considering a loan exit from the San Siro, as he has struggled to make his way into Leonardo’s plans.

With World Cup due to be played next summer, the 26-year-old is looking to secure regular action.

Everton boss David Moyes confirmed he would be interested in the former Real Madrid striker if he became available, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been mooted as possible destinations.

But Milan general director Ariedo Braida is adamant that Huntelaar will still be in Milan when the window closes at 5pm on Monday.

He told tuttomercatoweb: “Huntelaar stays here, all talk is unnecessary. Arsenal? No, I repeat that the player remains at Milan.”

The former Ajax front-man moved to Italy following a similarly short and unhappy spell with Real Madrid.
