Milan set to cash in on Pato

AC Milan could decide to sell forward Alessandre Pato at the end of the season, Il Correre dello Sport claims.

The Brazilian international has missed a big part of the season through various injuries and the Rossoneri are starting to lose the patience with him.

The 22-year-old has now picked up his 14th injury since January 2010, meaning that he was unavailable for a period of 390 days during the last two years.

According to Il Correre dello Sport, Milan chiefs have decided to sell the player in the summer and replace him with another striker.

Pato was on the verge of a switch to Paris Saint-Germain last January, before the transfer eventually fell through, but the Saints could take advantage of the situation and make a fresh bid in the summer.

Few other major European sides are expected to enter the race for the player who scored just one goal in 11 Serie A appearances this term.
