(GSM) – Milan are ready to add Genoa right-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos to their squad.

Earlier this week there were reports that the transfer would be a simple exchange with Marek Jankulovski or Kakha Kaladze moving to Genoa.

However, Milan wants to wrap up the deal for ‘Papa’ quickly and both clubs have now agreed to a season-long loan deal.

Papastathopoulos will become the fourth summer signing for the Rossoneri and their third at practically no cost after Mario Yepes joined as a free agent and Marco Amelia arrived on loan also from Genoa.

Milan only paid a transfer fee for Crotone defender Elia Legati who cost £360,000.
