Milan are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Steaua defender Vlad Chiriches, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Rossoneri made signing a new holding midfielder a priority after Nigel de Jong picked up a serious injury, but they may not have to add a new player to the centre of the park considering that Sulley Muntari will not be playing at Africa Cup of Nations after all.
This means the club officials can concentrate on signing a new central defender and Il Corriere dello Sport claims Steaua stopper Vlad Chiriches is set to arrive at San Siro.
AC Milan have been following a player for quite a while now, but they have finally agreed to sign him on loan until the end of the season with buy-out clause set to €7 million.
That could mean that summer signing Francesco Acerbi will be leaving the club and he is likely to be used as a makeweight should the Rossoneri attempt to sign Juraj Kucka from Genoa.
