Milan re-signed Andriy Shevchenko on loan from Premier League side Chelsea last summer, but the Ukranian failed to make an impact again in Italy.

“I don’t regret anything,” Shevchenko told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I needed to reinvigorate myself and I’ve done it at Milan. When I came back, I said that I would have accepted anything – I knew that I could not receive any gifts from anyone. I will act as a professional until the end and then I will go back to London.

“I want to live there, but I don’t know where football will take me next season. I will speak with Chelsea and make a decision.”
