Milan have announced the signing of attacker Philipp Prosenik from Chelsea on their official website.
The Italian giants have been keeping tabs on the promising striker since he was part of the Rapid Vienna youth set-up.
The Rossoneri lost the race to sign the Austrian in the summer of 2009, when he opted to join Chelsea instead.
However, they finally managed to bring the talented youngster to San Siro, having signed him for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old was playing for the Chelsea Under-18 side, while he also made three appearances for the Reserves.
Prosenik is part of the Austria Under-19 squad and he started all three games in the Under-19 European Championship qualifiers.
The towering striker, who has yet to feature at senior level, will spend some time in Milan youth squad, but it won’t be a surprise if he is soon given a chance to prove his undoubted potential in Maxi Allegri’s squad.
