Milan starlet inks Benfica deal

Portuguese giants Benfica have announced on their official website that they have acquired Italian midfielder Bryan Cristante from AC Milan.

The Eagles produced quite a coup by snatching one of Europe’s hottest prospects who is predicted a bright future in the game.

AC Milan officials were desperate to keep hold of the 19 year old and were prepared to farm him out on loan to some of the other Serie A sides, but they eventually decided not to stand in the player’s way and accepted a €6 million proposal from Benfica.

Bryan Cristante has long been considered one of club’s most promising youngsters, but he has so far made mere three Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri.

The Italy Under-19 international was an unused substitute in Milan’s opening match of the season against Lazio, but having moved to Benfica, he will finally get a chance to secure regular first team football.
