AC Milan are stepping up their efforts to sign Benfica forward Ola John, Record has revealed.
The Rossoneri are not exactly spoilt for choices in attack, especially after Giampaolo Pazzini picked up a serious injury, and they are keen to add the Netherlands international to their ranks.
Having closely monitored the player’s progress over the last year or so, the Serie A side are ready to launch an assault on the highly rated winger.
According to Record, the Rossoneri have already established first contacts with their Benfica counterparts with a view of luring John to San Siro in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form since joining Benfica from Twente last summer, even if he didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet in 22 league fixtures.
John has, however, largely impressed in European competitions, netting 2 times in 12 matches. The talented footballer was handed his Netherlands debut in a 1-1 friendly draw with Italy back in February.
