AC Milan went six points clear at the top of the Serie A with a 3-0 away win over Bologna in Sunday’s early game.

Goals to Kevin-Prince Boateng, Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrapped up the three points for Milan as they increased their buffer over second-placed Napoli and third-placed Lazio, who play Juventus in Sunday’s late game.

Boateng put the visitors in front after nine minutes when he found himself on the end of an Ibrahimovic cross to fire home from close range and notch up his second goal for Milan since his off-season transfer from Portsmouth.

Brazilian striker Robinho doubled their advantage after 35 minutes, when he latched on to a Boateng through ball and powered a right-foot shot past Emiliano Viviano in the Bologna goal.

Ibrahimovic sealed the win on the hour mark when he collected a pass from Andrea Pirlo and rifled a shot past Viviano to score his ninth Serie A goal of the season.
