AC Milan have become another club reportedly interested in signing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.
The 34-year-old striker has never been the undisputed first choice under Frank Lampard. Last season he was mostly a backup option for young Tammy Abraham, while this term Timo Werner has been added to the mix as well. Giroud was fit and included in the squad for all 17 Premier League games Chelsea have played so far, but he started only four and was brought on as a substitute another five times, which means he has spent eight whole matches on the bench.
France national team coach Didier Deschamps recently spoke about the striker’s need to get regular game-time to secure a place at the European Championship this year. He has been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus, but now it seems the Rossoneri also want to bring him to San Siro.
