Cagliari defender Davide Astori could be the subject of a summer bid from AC Milan, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Napoli were believed to be leading the chase for the highly rated stopper, but it looks as though they are going to face a stiff competition from the Rossoneri.
Milan officials are desperate to add to their defensive options in the summer, and despite looking at Angelo Ogbonna and Mehdi Benatia, they seem to have opted to go with Davide Astori.
The 26-year-old has developed into one of the best centre-backs in Italy’s top flight and it is only a matter of time before he leaves Isolani for a bigger club.
Astori has managed 3 goals in 138 Serie A appearances for Cagliari, and the interesting thing is he had began his professional career at San Siro.
Meanwhile, Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani are set to hold a meeting to discuss the future of coach Massimiliano Allegri.
