Serie A giants AC Milan are hot on the trail of Ajax defender Joel Veltman, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Rossoneri have failed to find a proper replacement for key defender Thiago Silva and they are desperate to sign a high-quality stopper in the summer.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan have made Ajax centre back Joel Veltman their primary target.
Nevertheless, the Rossoneri face a tough task in an attempt to lure the 22-year-old to San Siro given that he is not only followed by other top clubs from Europe, but also due to the fact Ajax have no intention to sell.
The Italian newspaper has also moved to suggest that Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao is also on Milan radar.
Clarence Seedorf’s side play host to Bologna on Friday evening looking to return to winning ways, and they are available at 1/3 to claim maximum points.
