(GSM) – Kevin-Prince Boateng is enjoying life at his new club Milan.

Boateng joined the rossoneri on loan from Genoa after signing for the port club from Portsmouth. The Ghanaian midfielder was thrilled by the support he got from the Milan fans.

“When I have heard the fans sing my name the feeling has been incredible. I have never had such a crowd calling my name before, I felt happy like a child,” he explained of the response during the weekend meeting with Catania.

“I did not know the fans felt that way, I only discovered it myself now. They are pleased to see me playing for this great club and if they consider me an idol it means I am already doing something good.”

Good start or not, he realises he’s not nearly there yet and already has his eyes on the clash with rivals Internazionale.

“When you move from a small club like Portsmouth to a great outfit like Milan it is fantastic. Inter are a very strong squad and won it all last year but that will be difficult to repeat as we have a strong side and will fight. The derby will be a fascinating challenge.”
