Milito: I nearly joined Napoli last summer

‘El Principe’ Diego Milito is looking forward to a duel with compatriot Ezequiel Lavezzi at the weekend, but he has revealed how close they came to playing together.

“I know that there was a contact between Napoli and Zaragoza,” he told Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino. “I was pleased to hear about their interest, however, be difficult now. I love it in Genoa; it is my home and the fans are as passionate as the Neapolitans”.
