Milito invites Tevez, Palacio to Inter

Inter forward Diego Milito admits that he would be delighted if his compatriots Carlos Tevez and Rodrigo Palacio were to join the Neroazzurri.

Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez was heavily linked with a January switch to Inter, but the Italian giants were unable to agree a transfer fee with the Citizens.

His international teammate Diego Milito claims he would be happy to see Carlitos at Giuseppe Meazza.

“I know that Inter wanted Carlos,” the Argentine international told ESPN Radio Rivadavia. “That’s all that I am aware of.

“Tevez is a great player, though, and any side would be lucky to have him at their disposal.”

The Serie A giants were also keen on Genoa forward Rodrigo Palacio, who has been scoring goals for fun this season.

“As for Palacio, he’s doing really well. I would be absolutely delighted if he was to join a big club like Inter.”

Before Milito rediscovered his scoring touch, he was tipped to leave Giuseppe Meazza, and the player admits a return to Argentine has been mooted.

“I know that my agent spoke with Racing to understand if there was a possibility of a return there for me, but that’s it.

“For now I am thinking of Inter. I think I’ll stay here for the next two years, but it depends on many factors.

“If I do return to Racing then I’d want to be in great form in order to help the team.”

The veteran forward started the season on the wrong foot, which led to speculations that he would leave the club in January, but has since rediscovered his form.

The Argentine scored no less than 9 goals in last 7 Serie A games, taking his total goal tally to 12 league goals.
