Milito open to Genoa return
Inter striker Diego Milito doesn’t want to rule out a return to Genoa, even if he is currently focused on Inter.
The player’s career at Giuseppe Meazza has started taking the wrong turn and he is no longer considered a first team regular.
The current situation sparked speculations that Milito could leave the club in January, with Genoa very interested in his services.
The Argentine says he is currently focused on Inter, but remains open to another return to Marassi.
“I know that Preziosi loves me,” Milito told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I will always be grateful to him.
“You never know what will happen in football, but for now I’m just thinking about helping Inter win football matches.”
Milito made a name for himself in Genoa before moving to Zaragoza in 2005, but it was another spell at Marassi that helped him earn a big money move to Inter.
Joey Barton reveals love for PSG
Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has revealed his love for Paris Saint-Germain.
The combative midfielder left Newcastle for QPR at the start to the season, with Neil Warnock handing him the captain’s armband immediately upon his arrival.
Despite being regarded as a key player at Loftus Road, the 29-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move to bigger club.
The player has now revealed his admiration for Paris Saint-Germain, which could add fuel to speculations linking Barton with a move to Parc des Princes.
“When I was little, I supported Everton. And I wanted that PSG beat Liverpool in the European Cup every time,” Barton told Canal Plus.
The midfielder was coy when asked whether he was interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
“As to whether I could one day wear the jersey of the club from the capital, nothing is certain.
”I have a lot of work to do here. But, you never know.”
Maxi Lopez welcomes Milan link
Catania forward Maxi Lopez says he would be interested in a January move to Milan.
Milan reportedly want to sign the Argentine in January as a replacement for Antonio Cassano.
Lopez is looking to leave Catania for a bigger club and he admits he is flattered by the Milan link.
“Milan are the greatest club in the world,” Lopez told Il Corriere dello Sport. “Who wouldn’t want to join them?
“I’m ready to take the big step up in level. It would be an honour for me, but the two clubs would need to talk about it.”
The 27-year-old has two and a half years left on his deal with Catania, which means that he won’t come cheap.
Lopez has only bagged two goals in seven league appearances this season, while he scored eight in thirty five league games last term.
