James Milner could be set to quit Manchester City if he continues to only be used sparingly by Manuel Pellegrini, the Daily Star understands.
The England international, who has a year remaining on his current deal, has started just two of City’s five Premier League games so far this season while he only made the bench for last week’s 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in their opening Champions League fixture.
Since moving to the Etihad Stadium in 2010, he has racked up over one hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals, and was part of the squads that won the FA Cup in 2011, the Premier League in both 2012 and 2014 and the League Cup in 2014.
Internationally, he won his fiftieth senior cap for England in the 2-0 Euro 2016 qualifying win over Switzerland earlier this month.
City begin their Capital One Cup defence at home to Sheffield Wednesday this evening, and Milner is priced at 5/1 to score at any time inside the ninety minutes.
