According to a recent report from Liverpool Echo, Liverpool midfielder James Milner wants to stay at the club beyond the end of the current season. The belief was that the Englishman would move on to pastures new, but it doesn’t actually appear to be the case.
Milner has surprised an awful lot of people during his tenure at Anfield, establishing himself as one of the most consistent midfielders in English football. While he may not have much longer at the top of the game in comparison to some of his peers, Liverpool will want to get as much out of him as they possibly can.
The Reds have an incredibly stacked squad with some great strength in depth, but even with that being the case, Milner will almost certainly be a handy option for a few years to come.
Milner first made the move to the club back in 2015 when he joined from Manchester City.
