According to Calciomercato, agent Mino Raiola is not happy with the situation of Matthijs de Ligt at Juventus. The Dutch defender has recently been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona, and his representative has apparently made contact with these clubs, as well as Premier League champions Manchester City, to sound out a possible move away from Turin.
Interestingly enough, De Ligt himself is said to be satisfied with the way he is treated at Juventus, believing the club see him as a player for the future, but Raiola obviously has different ideas. It remains to be seen whether he truly wants his client to leave the Serie A giants, or he simply wants to scare them into giving him a more prominent role.
Barcelona were credited with strong interest in the 22-year-old in 2018-19, his final season at Ajax, but were beaten to his services by Juventus. As for Chelsea, the Champions League holders might find themselves in need to rebuild their centre-back department next summer, with Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger both running out of contract.
