Pre-Game: As was the case yesterday, SoccerWay will keep you up to date with all the latest from Poland-Croatia in Klagenfurt right here.
Pre-Game: Austria manager Josef Hickersberger makes three changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Poland. Martin Hiden enters in central defense for the injured Sebastian Prödl, Christian Fuchs plays on the left side of midfield for Christoph Leitgeb, and Erwin Hoffer goes into central attack for Roland Linz.
Pre-Game: Following a 2-1 loss to Croatia, Germany make just one change and it’s in defense with Marcell Jansen replaced by Arne Friedrich. Philipp Lahm will slot into Jansen’s left-back slot with Friedrich playing right-back. Remember, Germany are without Bastian Schweinsteiger who was foolishly sent off in the dying stages against Croatia.
Pre-Game: The situation is simple for Germany. If they earn a win or a draw here today, they are through to the quarter-finals to face Portugal. For Austria, it is a bit more complex. They must win the game and have Poland fail to defeat Croatia to ensure qualification. Should Poland win, Austria can still advance with a win over Germany by a larger margin that Poland beats Croatia.
