According to a recent report from AS, Rafa Mir has revealed that he is set to hold talks regarding his future at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He will do so after the Olympic Games with the expectation being that he will favour a move to Atletico Madrid – the reigning La Liga champions.
Mir, who has barely had a sniff at Molineux during his years in the Black Country, enjoyed a really strong loan spell with Huesca last season. While there’s no guarantee that he’d be successful in the Premier League if given a chance, many Wolves fans feel as if he should be given the opportunity to shine alongside Raul Jimenez.
Instead, he looks set to remain in La Liga, a place where he’s proven himself to be one of the very best forwards in the country – and he’ll continue to do so if given the chance to shine with a team like Atletico.
