AC Milan chief Massimiliano Mirabelli is hoping the Rossoneri will be able to land their target Andrea Belotti.
The Rossoneri were unsuccessful in their attempts to recruit the Italy international in the summer, having reportedly had a €70 million bid rejected, but remain keen on the 23-year-old.
And while the player has a €100 million release clause in his contract, only foreign clubs are able to trigger it, meaning AC Milan will have their work cut out for them.
However, the Rossoneri chief Massimiliano Mirabelli believes that Belotti, an AC Milan fan, will eventually end up at San Siro.
“It’s no secret that we tried to bring Belotti to Milan, but that was a difficult move for various different reasons,” Mirabelli told Radio Rossonera.
“He is a strong player and a Milan fan, this is also well known, so maybe one day he can wear the jersey he’s been dreaming of since childhood.”
Andrea Belotti was in stunning form last season, bagging 26 league goals, while he has 3 strikes in the new campaign.
