Sky Sports understands that Fulham have completed the signing of Greece international Kostas Mitroglou from Olympiakos.
The 25 year old had been linked with a move to Liverpool earlier in the month, while West Ham United made a late charge to rival the Cottagers though the latter have got the deal over the line.
Mitroglou leaves Greece as the current top scorer in their top flight, with fourteen goals in just twelve league appearances so far this season while he has also netted three times in this season’s Champions League.
He is the second player to arrive at Craven Cottage on transfer deadline day, with a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby also agreed.
Rene Meulensteen’s side currently sit second from bottom of the Premier League, and are two points from safety ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s visit of Southampton where the hosts can be backed at 13/5 for the win.
