Paris Saint-Germain winger Hatem Ben Arfa continued to be linked with a move away from the French giants.
The 30-year-old has struggled to prove his value in the French capital and with surge in investments in new players this summer he has seen his playing time severely limited at Parc des Princes.
The British media are reporting this week that Newcastle United are keen to offer a lifeline to their former player. The Magpies are reportedly ready to make a move for Ben Arfa in January but appear to be facing stiff competition for his services.
According to the US journalist Kristian Dyer, the out-of-favour PSG man is the subject of intense interest from Orlando City and LAFC, a club set to join the MLS franchise early in 2018.
Los Angeles Football Club has already appointed Bob Bradley as head coach and are exploring an opportunity to add Hatem Ben Arfa as one of the marquee signings for their maiden season in Major League Soccer.
“Ben Arfa is a player I hear potentially moving from PSG, could be a landing spot, I would think, LAFC or Orlando City.”, Dyer said.
