(GSM) – New York Red Bulls came back from behind twice to earn one point from their away match at Dallas on Thursday.
Dallas started well in the day’s only MLS game, scoring the opener through Colombian Milton Rodriguez in the 24th minute.
But just five minutes later, things did not look quite as good for the hosts when Brek Shea picked up a straight red card.
Moroccan Mehdi Ballouchy equalised for New York just before the break but Eric Alexander restored Dallas’ lead in the 68th minute.
The visitors would at least get a point though as a cross from the left wing was directed past his own goalkeeper by Jair Benitez in the 82nd minute.
Dallas remain in third place in the Western Conference, five points behind leaders Los Angeles Galaxy. New York are still in second place in the Eastern Conference, three points behind Columbus Crew.
