DC United winger Andy Najar is set to join Tottenham for a training spell during the MLS off-season.
The 18-year-old has been in impressive form this season and the club chiefs believe a training stint with Tottenham will aid the player’s development.
“We are pleased to finalise Andy’s stay with Tottenham,” DC United general manager Dave Kasper told the club’s official website.
“I think this experience will be tremendous for him. He will come away from this as a better player, and we look forward to having him back with us shortly.
“It’s great for our players to get into a different environment and have a different experience. We feel it’s good for their continued development.
“It’s certainly aligned with the philosophy that Jurgen Klinsmann has made public, which is that our off-season is too long and our players need to continue training.”
The Honduras international is also a target for Arsenal, although Tottenham are likely to have the upper hand when DC United decide to sell.
