An unnamed MLS club have made an official proposal for Real Betis striker Sergio Leon, according to Canal Sur.
The club from the United States, whose identity has not been revealed, reportedly submitted an €8 million offer for the 29-year-old footballer.
However, Canal Sur claims that los Verdiblancos were not interested in the proposal, while the player himself wants to remain with his boyhood club.
Sergio Leon joined Real Betis in a €3.5 million deal last summer and went on to score 11 La Liga goals, his best record up to date.
After starting his career with los Verdiblancos, Leon spent a large part of his career in the lower echelons of Spain’s league system before impressing at Osasuna last term.
