MLS wonderkid on Juventus radar
ESPN is reporting that Juventus are hot on the trail of Sporting Kansas City youngster Erik Palmer-Brown.
The 16-year-old become the youngster ever player to have signed a professional contract with the club back in August and he has already caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs.
According to ESPN, Italian giants Juventus attempted to recruit the talented defender in January, but their $1 million bid was swiftly rejected.
However, the Bianconeri are set to return for the highly rated stopper as they hope to add him to their ranks in the near future.
Palmer-Brown is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the country and he has been showing a lot of promise playing for the national team at youth levels.
The centre-back has yet to make his first senior appearance for Sporting Kansas City, but the club will give their best to try and ward off interest in his services.
Taarabt and Rami would cost €14m
Portuguese newspaper Record claims that it would take around €14 million for AC Milan to purchase Adel Taarabt and Adil Rami.
The two footballers joined the Rossoneri on loan from QPR and Valencia respectively, and enjoyed a bright start to their careers in Italy.
Both players went on to nail down a regular starting berth, scoring two Serie A goals each to help Milan get their league campaign back on track.
As a result, the club officials are already thinking about turning their loan spells into permanent moves and the good news is the Rossoneri have the buy-out option in both deals.
And according to Record, Taarabt and Rami can be purchased for €7 million each, with Milan likely to exercise the clauses at the end of the season.
The Rossoneri go into the derby clash with Juventus in great spirits and they are available at 12/5 to stop the Serie A leaders in their tracks.
Gladbach secure Johnson signature
Borussia M’Gladbach have announced on their official website that Hoffenheim defender Fabian Johnson will be joining the club in the summer transfer window.
The USA international has agreed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga high-flyers and is set to join die Fohlen when his current deal expires in June.
The left-back, who can also operate further up the pitch, arrives to increase competition for places on the left as Juan Arango is set to leave in the summer.
Fabian Johnson came through the youth ranks at 1860 Munich and also had a somewhat disappointing spell with Wolfsburg before joining Hoffenheim in the summer of 2011.
The German-born defender largely impressed Rhein-Neckar Arena, making 75 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 5 goals.
Despite paying for Germany at various youth levels, the 26-year-old switched his allegiance to United States in 2011 and currently has 18 caps to his name.
