The Houston Dynamo stole a late 1-0 win away to Dallas in the MLS on Saturday, to go top of the Eastern Conference.
Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron struck in the 87th minute at Pizza Hut Park, heading home the winner to send his side top of their division.
It was Dallas’ fifth loss in six games in all competitions, and the result left them fourth in the Western Conference – 15 points shy of leaders LA Galaxy.
The Galaxy outdid Houston for drama in their 1-0 win over Columbus Crew, leaving it until the 93rd minute to fire home the winner through Chad Barrett.
The late substitute collected the rebounded save of Crew goalkeeper William Hesmer to net the winner just nine minutes after taking the pitch.
DC United ended Real Salt Lake’s five-match winning streak, with a 4-1 thrashing at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
Canadian midfielder Dwayne De Rosario scored a hat-trick in the space of nine first-half minutes, adding to Andy Najar’s 13th-minute opener for the hosts.
Alvaro Saborio netted a consolation goal late on for Salt Lake.
The New York Red Bulls beat 10-man Portland 2-0, ending the Timbers’ unbeaten stretch of five games.
The Seattle Sounders came from behind to beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 away, with Fredy Montero netting a brace.
Chivas USA eased past Toronto 3-0 at home, while the Colorado Rapids salvaged a 1-1 draw with the San Jose Earthquakes after trailing early.
